BattersBox108 Community Guidelines

BattersBox108 exists to help the amateur baseball and softball community connect, grow, and create opportunities. Whether you’re a player, parent, coach, trainer, umpire, team administrator, or organization representative, we expect everyone to contribute to a respectful, safe, and professional environment.
These Community Guidelines explain the standards of behavior expected on BattersBox108.
1. Remember the Human
Treat others with respect.
Behind every profile is a real person, family, team, business, or organization.
Disagreements happen in sports. Personal attacks do not.
You agree to communicate in a manner that is:
- Respectful;
- Professional;
- Honest;
- Constructive.
2. Be Honest
Do not misrepresent yourself or your organization.
Examples include:
- Using fake identities;
- Impersonating players, coaches, trainers, umpires, or organizations;
- Claiming certifications or experience you do not possess;
- Posting false opportunities;
- Misrepresenting roster needs or openings;
- Creating duplicate accounts to avoid restrictions.
Authenticity builds trust within the community.
3. Respect Youth Participants
BattersBox108 serves both youth and adult communities.
Because minors are involved, we maintain a higher standard of conduct.
You may not:
- Exploit, groom, manipulate, or endanger minors;
- Seek inappropriate relationships with minors;
- Circumvent guardian protections;
- Request unnecessary personal information from minors;
- Encourage minors to move communications to other platforms for improper purposes;
- Use youth profiles for inappropriate solicitation.
Any suspected exploitation or predatory behavior involving minors may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
4. No Harassment or Abuse
You may not:
- Threaten others;
- Intimidate others;
- Harass others;
- Engage in bullying;
- Use hate speech;
- Target individuals based on protected characteristics;
- Encourage others to attack or harass users.
Sports can be competitive. Abuse is never acceptable.
5. Keep Communications Appropriate
Whether through current or future messaging tools, users are expected to communicate appropriately.
Do not:
- Send spam;
- Send repeated unwanted messages;
- Send sexually explicit content;
- Share obscene material;
- Send threats;
- Attempt scams or fraudulent solicitations;
- Abuse contact information obtained through the Platform.
Communications should remain relevant to legitimate baseball and softball activities.
6. No Fraud or Scams
Users may not use BattersBox108 to:
- Conduct fraudulent activity;
- Solicit money under false pretenses;
- Advertise opportunities that do not exist;
- Collect payments without intent to provide services;
- Mislead users regarding qualifications or affiliations.
If something sounds too good to be true, users should exercise caution and report concerns.
7. Respect the Platform
Do not interfere with the operation of BattersBox108.
You may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access;
- Bypass restrictions;
- Scrape or harvest user data;
- Introduce malicious code;
- Abuse reporting systems;
- Create accounts solely to disrupt the community;
- Circumvent suspensions or bans.
8. User-Generated Content
You are responsible for the content you post.
This includes:
- Photos;
- Logos;
- Profile information;
- Messages;
- Listings;
- Bios;
- Comments;
- Requests;
- Links.
Do not post content that:
- Violates the law;
- Infringes intellectual property rights;
- Is deceptive;
- Is sexually explicit;
- Promotes violence;
- Encourages illegal activity.
9. Reporting Concerns
If you see behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it.
Examples include:
- Harassment;
- Impersonation;
- Fraud;
- Spam;
- Inappropriate youth interactions;
- Threats;
- Safety concerns;
- Abuse of messaging systems.
BattersBox108 intends to provide reporting tools as Platform features evolve.
Reports may be reviewed by administrators to investigate concerns and determine appropriate action.
BattersBox108 reserves the right to review user-generated content, messages, requests, and related activity when reasonably necessary to investigate reports, enforce Platform policies, protect users, protect minors, maintain the integrity of the Platform, or comply with applicable law.
10. Enforcement
Violations of these Guidelines may result in action including:
- Content removal;
- Warnings;
- Temporary restrictions;
- Suspension of messaging privileges;
- Account suspension;
- Permanent account termination;
- Referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
BattersBox108 reserves the right to determine what actions are necessary to protect users and the integrity of the Platform.
11. No Guarantees of Screening
BattersBox108 does not guarantee that users have been background checked, screened, certified, licensed, or independently verified unless explicitly stated.
Users remain responsible for:
- Evaluating opportunities;
- Conducting appropriate due diligence;
- Supervising minors;
- Exercising sound judgment.

BattersBox108 was created to help people:
- Find teams;
- Find players;
- Find trainers;
- Find umpires;
- Schedule games and scrimmages;
- Create opportunities;
- Play more ball.
We ask every member of the community to help make BattersBox108 a place where integrity, sportsmanship, and respect matter as much as the game itself.
